- Tha thu ceart cha lughaide. Chan eil fhìos agam. Tha mi ag ionnsachadh Gàidhlig... In fact I need to continue in English, sorry... Traditionally our floods were named after the Saint's name day and nov 1 is All Saint's Day. We have had a number of serious floods on that dangerous day, including the one in 1571 that sparked our struggle for independence. Of course after the Reformation this way of naming became a problem. In fact -being calvinist- I only learned a few days ago that the flood of '53 that is my earliest childhood memory is called the St. Ignatius flood by some. I have no idea how to do this in Gàidhlig.
