English: Moorland with abandoned peat workings The problem with the abandoned cuttings are that they are a metre or so deep and about the size and shape of a swimming pool. After a fair few decades of neglect they develop an infilling of boggy moss, which can pull the wellies right of your feet. Lovely. Hammars Hill in the distance.
