I fora del blasó, servint de timbre i orla, respectivament, un coronel obert i el Toisó d'Or.». Escut oficial, aprovat per Ordre del Ministeri de la Governació de 29 de març de 1941 (però no s'ha trobat la publicació al BOE). El blasonament apareix a l'informe oficial Informe sobre modificacion del escudo de armas de la ciudad de Alicante del Marquès de Rafal. (Ajuntament)

Escudo oficial, aprobado por Orden del Ministerio de la Gobernación de 29 de marzo de 1941 (pero que no se ha encontrado la publicación en el BOE).
