O Uicipeid

I noticed that CreagNamBathais edited this article on Lucy Qinnuayuak. (Ref:on 20:15, 1 Samhain 2020‎ ) )

Because I wanted to translate this version into a ga version I used googletranslate.

I translated the article into ga, proof-read the result and made appropriate corrections.

For instance "Lean iad orra ann an dòigh-beatha traidiseanta le bhith sealg, a' gluasad mu cuairt an Rubha Foxe agus diofar champa leithid Shapujuak, Ittiliakjuk, Igalallik, agus Kangia. B' e an té-ealain eile, Kenojuak Ashevak, a niece." translated as "Lean siad ar bhealach traidisiúnta maireachtála ag fiach, ag bogadh timpeall Leithinis Foxe agus ag campaí éagsúla mar Shapujuak, Ittiliakjuk, Igalallik, agus Kangia. Ba é an t-ealaíontóir eile, Kenojuak Ashevak, a neacht."

I changed "ag campaí" to "ag fanacht i gcampaí".

I'm not sure why CreagNamBathais did not remove a niece from the gd version but maybe someone would like to substitute a suitable gd alternative?

Mirabile dictu "banta" is the word for "niece" in both ga (banta, g. id., pl. -idhe, f., a niece. https://celt.ucc.ie//Dinneen1sted.pdf ) and gd (banta † sf Niece. https://www.faclair.com/?txtSearch=banta ) as it happens!

Neacht (Ref:https://www.focloir.ie/en/dictionary/ei/niece ) is the usual term for "niece" in Ireland. Ériugena (an deasbaireachd) 17:02, 6 dhen t-Samhain 2020 (UTC)[reply]
